Notary123.com ("Notary123", "we", "us") operates an online directory that connects people and businesses who need notarial services with notary publics and related professionals who list their practices on our site. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to two groups of visitors: clients looking for a notary, and notaries ("members") who list their practice or purchase client leads on Notary123.com.

• Client request information — when you submit a notary request we collect your name, email address, phone number, location (zip code, state, or region), the type of service you need, your preferred date and time, and any details you provide about the work. This information is shared with notaries so they can respond to your request.
• Member profile information — notaries who join the directory provide their name or business name, contact details, photo, bio, service areas, languages, commission details, professional role, and any website or scheduling links they choose to display publicly.
• Account information — email address, password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), and sign-in details if you use Google or Facebook sign-in.
• Payment information — listing fees, lead purchases, and balance top-ups are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We retain a record of transactions (amount, date, and the last four digits of your card) for billing and support purposes.
• Usage information — we use analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, signup funnel steps, and traffic patterns. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
• Communications — when you contact us through our support or contact forms, we keep a record of your message so we can respond and maintain a support history.

• To operate the directory — publishing member listings and matching client requests with notaries in the requested area.
• To process payments and maintain member accounts, lead balances, and subscriptions.
• To send service notifications — lead alerts, renewal reminders, account notices, and emails related to a signup you started but did not finish.
• To improve the site — understanding which pages are useful, where visitors drop off, and what content to create.
• To run our referral program — crediting referral commissions to participating members.
• To respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure site traffic through analytics tools. We do not run advertising cookies on our own site.

We share your information only as needed to run the service:

• With members — when you submit a request, the details of that request are made available to notaries who can serve your area so they can respond. Your request details are never shown to the general public.

• With authorities — when we are required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We keep member and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting, support, and legal purposes. Client requests and analytics data are retained only as long as needed for those purposes. Old, unclaimed leads are periodically removed from our system.

We protect information with access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to correct it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.
