California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice supplements the Notary123 Privacy Policy and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA). It applies to California residents who visit Notary123.com, submit a notary request, or list a practice on the directory.

• Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, and account credentials.
• Commercial information — records of listing fees, lead purchases, and balance top-ups.
• Professional information — for members: commission details, service areas, professional role, and publicly displayed listing content.
• Internet activity — pages viewed and basic analytics events (session-based, not tied to your identity for advertising).
• Geolocation data — the zip code, state, or region you give us with a request or listing. We do not collect precise device GPS location.
• Sensitive personal information — we do not collect government identifiers, account log-in credentials for third parties, or health information. The CCPA/CPRA definition of sensitive personal information does not cover the notarial documents handled by notaries themselves — those stay between you and your notary and never pass through our systems.

We collect and use personal information to operate the directory, match client requests with notaries, process payments, send service notifications, and improve the site. We keep each category of information only as long as needed for these purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Notary123 does not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CPRA. Because there is no sale or sharing, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out is required or offered.

• Right to know — you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties it has been shared with.
• Right to delete — you may request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions (for example, information we must keep for transaction records or to enforce our Terms of Service).
• Right to correct — you may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — applies to the limited sensitive information described above; we do not use it for any purpose beyond operating the service.
• Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Submit requests through our support center (choose \"Privacy / data request\" as the topic) or our contact page. Include your name and the email address or listing associated with your account or request so we can verify your identity.

We will confirm receipt promptly and respond within 45 days (90 days for complex requests, with notice). We may ask for additional information only to verify your identity or locate your records.

You may also make a request through an authorized agent — include the agent's name and your signed permission when the agent submits on your behalf.
